500gallons is a Web Application that helps Restaurants be more sustainable and profitable. It includes over 200 'Actions' ranging from simple acts like 'Use CFL Lights' to more complex ones like 'Install Efficient Hot Water Recirculation System'. ROLE: VISUAL / UI DESIGN & ICONOGRAPHY
Each action was represented by a Card that pops-up to reveal more information. Similar actions were collated to make for a more intuitive grouping.
This robust application caters to Restaurant Owners / Managers and Sustainability Consultants. It offers customized recommendations based on detailed inputs provided by the User. Seen below are shots from that data collection process and the consequent 'My Actions' tab.
The application also offers the ability to track Maintenance of appliances and other equipment by asigning it to various personnel for efficient management. The dashboard is another powerful feature that enables users to track their Bills, Maintenance activities, Vendors and various other aspects revolving the restaurant business.
Another important task within this project was to create supplemenatary Icons for each of the Actions. I created over 200 icons based on 4 color schemes representing Energy (red), Water (blue), Waste (green) and Materials(orange).
