Paisool is an android application targeted at General Stores in India. It's primarily a billing system that includes a 10.1" tablet, a barcode scanner and a micro printer all neatly setup in an acrylic apparatus.
The target users' low familiarity with technology informed the specific aesthetic choices. UI styles, colors as well as icons were conceptualized keeping that aspect in mind.
ROLE: UI DESIGN, USER EXPERIENCE & SOME HTML DEVELOPMENT
Retailers can use this system to generate bills, manage stocks and inventory as well as maintain a customer database with a fast and easy to use interface.
The application includes a Dashboard where the user can track Sales and Customer Dues, among other things. I was responsible for coding this template in HTML5. I also designed and built Paisool's marketing website.
Paisool has been released to a few stores in Bangalore, India and more are being added to its roster. Here are some photos from launch day (JAN '14).
